A CASE OF SEVERE HEAD INJURY

Mr. XXXX/4o y  had a head injury one-month back bleeding from Rt. Ear at that time. Developed Facial paralysis (Right) 3 days after injury. Head physiotherapy and medication no improvement. So most probably the Rt. Facial palsy is noticed after 3 days but must have been present from the time he sustained injury not noticed due to Coma, Edema etc.

Requires --Exploration of Rt. Temporal bone (Mastoid) for finding the site of injury and possible decompression or anastamosis of brain--depending on the findings.

Brain Scan Report:

VIJAYA MEDICAL CENTERE/COLLECTOS OFFICE JUNCTION: Ill-defined hyperdence areas with surrounding hypodencity is seen in bilateral temporo occipital regions suggestive of hemorrhagic contusion.

Hyperdencity is also present in tentorial leaflets suggestive of subdural heamatoma

Hemorrhagic contusions in bilateral tempera occipital region

Subdural hematoma in tentorial leaf-lets.

About the PATIENT: This man is a poor painter had this accident. According the experts opinion he needs his skull to be operated, for which he needs thousands of rupees and hospitalization. He couldn't afford to that extent. That is the reason behind to consult me.

w 22-9-99  Had mild improvement
w 28-9-99  Frequent urination slightly controlled.
w 08-10-99 He was prescribed CAUSTICUM 10M
w 25-10-99 Good improvement, 80% result noticed.
w 3-11-99 Much better, Kept under observation.
w 20-1-00  Total recovery. No medicine prescribed.
w Now he is doing his regular painting work.
